The Level 1 Safeguarding Awareness provides an understanding of safeguarding practices, designed for individuals working in environments where they may come into contact with children or adults at risk. Whether in the workplace, activity groups, or other settings, this course equips learners with the essential skills to identify safeguarding concerns and respond appropriately.
Learners will gain the knowledge to recognize the signs of potential abuse or neglect, how to properly record any disclosures made, and the steps to take when reporting these concerns to the relevant authorities. With a focus on both practical and ethical responsibilities, this qualification ensures that learners are prepared to act in a way that protects vulnerable individuals while maintaining a safe environment for all.

Who is it For?
As opposed to the Level 3 Safeguarding Awareness course, which is for people who will work with children or vulnerable adults, or manage the care of children or vulnerable adults - this course is for people who may work with children or vulnerable adults, but without this being the primary focus of their working role.
