Health and safety in the workplace is the focus of this half-day course. This introduction to workplace health and safety is designed to benefit workers across all industries and sectors. The course ensures participants are up-to-date with the latest health and safety legislation, promoting a safer and more informed workplace environment.
Certification Details
Upon successfully completing the course, participants will earn their choice of nationally recognized qualifications from the following:-
- FAA Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace (RQF)
- Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace at SCQF Level 4 (SQCF)
Content
- Knowing how hazards and risks are controlled in the workplace
- Being aware of the main causes and effects of poor health and safety at work
- Understanding how health and safety information is communicated in the workplace
Delivery
4 hours + breaks, typically delivered in a half-day in a classroom, on-site or online. If required this can be broken into 2 smaller sessions delivered over a maximum of 2 weeks.

Prerequisites
Minimum Age: 14 years old (18 years old for online delivery)
