Description
The Health and Safety in the Workplace course is a focused 1-day training program designed to provide participants with a foundational understanding of workplace health and safety principles. The course addresses key topics such as roles and responsibilities, incident reporting, workplace hygiene, risk assessments, and the management of minor injuries, creating a solid platform for further training and career development.
Participants will learn how to identify potential hazards, apply preventative measures, and respond effectively to common workplace incidents. The training emphasizes the importance of maintaining a safe and healthy environment, understanding legal requirements, and fostering a culture of safety awareness.
By the end of the course, learners will be equipped with the knowledge and confidence to contribute proactively to workplace safety, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and laying the groundwork for advanced certifications or career advancement in health and safety roles.
Certification Details
Upon successfully completing the course, participants will earn their choice of nationally recognized qualifications from the following:-
- FAA Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace (RQF)
- Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace at SCQF Level 5 (SQCF)
The certificate does not expire, however refresher training is recommended.

Delivery
6 hours + breaks, typically delivered in one day in the classroom, on-site or online. If required this can be broken into 2-3 smaller sessions delivered over a maximum of 3 weeks.

Minimum Age: 16 years old (18 years old for online delivery)
