The Level 3 Principles of Safeguarding and Protecting Children, Young People or Vulnerable Adults course emphasizes safeguarding, helping learners develop awareness and sensitivity to identify different types and characteristics of abuse. Students are taught how to appropriately record disclosures and share information with the relevant individuals, ensuring a responsible and effective response to safeguarding concerns.

Description

Safeguarding is the practice of protecting children, young people, and vulnerable adults from abuse or neglect caused by the actions—or inactions—of others. To effectively safeguard individuals, it's essential to recognize those who are vulnerable and take the necessary steps to prevent abuse and neglect.

Everyone has the right to live free from fear of abuse, neglect, or exploitation. This course is designed to teach participants how to identify the signs of abuse and neglect, and what actions to take to prevent it from happening again. Abuse and exploitation can occur in any setting, often by someone in a position of trust.

This course is suitable for anyone, regardless of their field, and provides the tools and knowledge needed to make a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable individuals. It also guides practitioners on how to protect themselves while seeking help and reporting any identified incidents of abuse.
