Level 3/6 First Aid at Work (RQF)
The Level 3/6 First Aid at Work (FAW) provides the highest level of first aid training. Fully compliant with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and Northern Ireland’s 1982 regulations, this qualification equips participants with essential life-saving skills, emergency response techniques, and workplace first aid expertise to meet statutory requirements.
Description
Employers are legally required to provide a safe and healthy work environment, and having qualified First Aiders is essential if your first aid needs assessment identifies the need for trained personnel. This comprehensive First Aid at Work course delivers the highest level of first aid training, equipping participants with life-saving skills, emergency response techniques, and workplace first aid expertise. Fully compliant with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and Northern Ireland’s 1982 regulations, this Level 3 qualification (Level 6 in Scotland) ensures you meet statutory requirements with highly trained personnel.
Covering a wide range of first aid emergencies, this course enables participants to respond promptly, safely, and effectively in critical situations. Additionally, it includes any protocol updates that may have arisen since their last training, ensuring all first aiders are up to date with the latest industry standards.
Who is it For?
The First Aid at Work course is for those whose duties can be expected to include provision of first aid in the workplace.
This can be contracted with the Emergency First Aid at Work course, which is for people who may have to provide first aid, instead of it being an expectation.
Delivery
3 days delivered in a classroom; or blended learning online and 2 days in the classroom. If required this can be broken into up to 9 smaller sessions delivered over a maximum of 10 weeks.

Certification Details
Upon successfully completing the course, participants will earn their choice of nationally recognized qualifications from the following:-
- FAA Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF)
- Award in First Aid at Work at SCQF Level 6 (SQCF)
Prerequisites
Minimum 14 years old (18 for blended)
